Documenting My Village:

During this shoot I went on a one of the walks that are known as daffodil walks, but looking back on them I feel that they don’t represent the story that I want them to. This is because they don’t feature any people and the they are all landscapes which I don’t feel like represents the story as I would like it to be. With this project I feel that the use of black and white would fit really well with the theme/style of photography that I want to go with. The places I really want to take pictures at is the pub, known as the Beach of Arms. I would like to take images of the people out side and possibly inside.

I like this photograph but I feel that the it just isn’t what I would like my project to be like. I would like this project to have street portraits as there is one image of a person but they are in a digger. And for the audio I feel like the use of ambient noises will improve the images and make. I also feel that a lot of these images that are in the little edit are not my best images.

I like this image but again doesn’t fit with my theme that I would like to carry out in this

I really like this image however I feel that it would look better in black and white I feel that this image is some what more with what I want this project to be like. If it was also cropped and straightened up this image would look quite powerful.

Reflection on one of my lectrues:

After a couple days after showing this work to the class I felt that I didn’t fell as passionate as I feel I should have been for the topic I was doing and decided to go for my backup idea. Which is to document my parents on the farm and kind of do a day in the life but more of highlights of a course of three days.

I felt that my previous work wasn’t as strong as I would have looked to have been and wanted to make it better but also didn’t feel much motivation to dpi the project down documenting the village route so I have decoded to document highlights of over a course of a few days on the farm I live on.

Currently I am planning on documenting shearing and also getting parts of moving into mobile homes. ( The reason I am not living in a house anymore as my parents got planning permission to build a house on the farm site and we are now living in mobile homes temporarily )
